Comet uses the scalable SQL Server database technology which is configurable up to 32 processors and 64 Gb of RAM. SQL Server is the most popular relational database for MS Windows (38 percent market share) and can handle over 700,000 transactions per minute.
For smaller installations of Comet (less than 10 users) we recommend the freely available MSDE database server which is a cut down version of SQL Server.

Comet is a 32-bit client/server application written specifically to integrate with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Edition.
