(Unfortunately this is not 100% accurate as good spammers/viruses can cheat all of the information in email headers - to some extent.) 1. Within your email software you have to view the complete email headers and copy the information to the clipboard. Using Microsoft Outlook, open the email and click view, options. 2. Navigate to an email header analyser website such as SpamAnalyser and analyse the headers (paste the headers into their search field). This will tell you a lot of information about the email - copy the mail server IP address for the next step. 3. You can then trace a route to the server to check which ISP owns the IP address range (if not found above), and even lookup where the IP address is located. 4. Most ISP's have an abuse@ email address where you can send a complaint against a user on their network (you will have to include the headers). Most of the time they are happy to look into the problem and will get back to you a few days later. 5. With the new anti-spam legislation, there are strict guidelines on emails originating from within Australia. You can report unsolicited emails originating in Australia to NOIE using this link. 6. Prevention is better than cure - always use a hotmail/yahoo account for online form submissions where you cannot trust what eventually happens with your email address.

This will bring affordability of software a lot closer for many business operators (whilst still giving Microsoft a good return). The final details are not yet known, however it is thought hardware as well as software will be on the loan list...
This site is the all encompassing site of spyware information. There is a free online scanner that uses a digitally signed activeX control to search for known Spyware on your PC. This will get rid of known problems such as pop ups, browser hi-jackers etc etc... Its a good resource site for those who are wanting more detailed information about SpyWare, as well as a free online Spyware scanner. (Don't forget the free online Virus scanner at Trend Micro.)
